Celebration of Indian Independance Day – 15. 8. 2019 at the Prague island Střelecký ostrov

Come celebrate the Indian Independence Day 2019 on August 15th at the Prague island Strelecky ostrov, there will be dancing, there will be food, there will be music and of course there will be cinema!

The program starts at 4pm and includes:
– dance performances (Bollywood dance, kathak and Indian folk dances) and dance workshops for adults and children
– film documentaries and a quiz to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth
– masala chai
– Indian restaurant
– yoga class
– Indian groceries, jewellery and clothes
– massage
– henna painting
And to top it off, the celebrations will culminate with Aamir Khan and the film Mangal Pandey!
Organised by the Indian Film Festival in collaboration with the Indian embassy in Prague – entrance is free.
