This year we decided to expand our activities a bit, by taking Bollywood out of Prague. The company Avia Ashok Leyland agreed to collaborate with us by lending us a truck, artist Vojta Šedý painted it Bollywood-like, and we were ready to go on tour with our BOLLYWOOD TRUCK. We had 5 stops planned, along which we met plenty of great people, screened the film Om Shanti Om with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, cooked several tens of liters of masala chai, painted numerous hands, feet and necks with henna, and we now want to show you how it all looked like.
PoličkaOur first stop was in Polička, at the Colour Meeting Festival. The Bollywood Truck wasn’t entirely painted yet, our success was nevertheless secured, and even the festival director watched Om Shanti Om and hence saw his very first Bollywood movie! |

PragueWe next took part in the United Islands of Prague Festival. The day was sunny and warm, the streets were crowded, we cooked over 30 liters of masala chai and even organized a small dance workshop in front of our truck. |

OstravaWe then went on the road and drove all the way to Ostrava and its Colours of Ostrava Festival. The dancers from the troupe Ta-Natyam came along, to the delight of passers-by. |

TrutnovWe spent 3 great days at Trutnov. All day (and night) long, people commented on our truck and it was great fun. Festival-goers came for tea at breakfast-time, and at night they watched Om Shanti Om with us, in spite of the cold. |

Ústí nad LabemThe festival Barevná planeta in Ústí nad Labem was our last stop. The sun was once again present and our success was such that we kept running out of chai ingredients. |
