Intelligent and educated Naina (Rani Mukerji) longs to work as a teacher, but most schools refuse her because they can not cope with her disability. Nina suffers from Tourette‘s syndrome, which causes movement and sound tales resembling hives. She eventually surprisingly gains a place in a prestigious school where she graduated. There she is entrusted with a class of problem children from a local slum, which is more than a study success known for rude and malicious behavior. Despite the skepticism of other teachers, however, Naina is convinced that even in these children there is a talent that can be developed. The film is a free adaptation of the American autobiographical book from Brada Cohen.
