PHOTO COMPETITION "Bollywood in Czech Style"! Participate, compete and you may be the one who wins two airline tickets that will take you to India, with Gulf Air. Photograph "Bollywood in Czech Style" and submit it (max 1 photo per person) at by 15.9.2008

Competition Rules and Regulations: “ Bollywood in Czech Style“
The competition organizer is the Prague Bollywood Festival represented by the non-profit registered entity Bollywood, Bělohorská 153, Praha 6. The competition is divided into two rounds. Round One decisions are made by a pre-selected committee. In Round Two votes are cast by Festival audience members. The competition takes place from August 15, 2008-October 12, 2008. The last date for submitting photographs to the competition is September 15, 2008. Late submissions will not be considered.

The Prize
The winner of the competition will win two return tickets from Frankfurt a.M. (Germany) to Mumbai (India). These tickets are redeemable with Gulf Air until the end of 2009 and are valid for a maximum of 90 days. The award DOES NOT include the cost of airport and other taxes.

Who is Eligible to Compete?
You do not have to be a professional photographer and you do not need to travel to India to participate in our competition! Your idea is what will be valued most. Whether an amateur photographer or a professional, everyone can compete. It does not matter whether you photograph in black white or color. You just need to photograph “Bollywood in Czech Style ”. One photograph needs to be emailed to us: by September 15, 2008 at midnight. In the email you should include your full name, your telephone contact and the statement “I understand, agree and comply with all the rules and regulations of the competition.” Please read the rules and regulations thoroughly – submissions that do not meet all of the submission criteria will not be considered. We will acknowledge receipt of your photograph via email. If you do not receive this acknowledgement please contact us at: (do not send photographs to this email!). All submissions that we acknowledge will be entered in the competition. By submitting their photograph to the competition, the author gives explicit permission for the Festival to exhibit his/her photograph.

Round One: 12 Finalists
In Round One, a committee made up of Festival organizers and partners will select 12 photographs that will advance to Round Two. Results of the first round will be make public latest by September 25, 2008 on our website ( Each author selected for advancement to Round Two will be responsible for providing the Festival with a print of his/her photograph – in A3 format. This photograph will not be returned. As soon as the festival receives this photograph, the author will receive 2 free tickets for the last film screening of the festival. If the author does not provide the print of his/her photograph by October 2, 2008, he/she will be disqualified from the competition. The photographs selected for Round Two will be displayed at Svetozor Film Theater during the Festival they will become a part of this year’s Festival décor.

Round Two: Audience Votes on Winner
Festival audience members will select the final winner in Round Two of the competition. Everyone who has a used Bollywood festival paper ticket can vote. All used tickets from Festival screenings in Evald Theater and in the big and small theaters in Kino Svetozor are eligible for voting. Votes can be submitted in the ballot boxes from October 9 to October 11, 2008. Repeated votes can be cast – but must be limited to one vote per ticket! The film screening ticket will become a ballot. To use the ticket as a ballot, the control stub must first be removed. To vote, audience members will write the number of their selected photograph on the back of the ticket and will deposit it into “ballot boxes” visibly located at the Svetozor theater during the festival. Votes can be cast during opening hours of the Svetozor theater and bar. Voting will close at 9pm on October 11, 2008. Tickets purchased for October 12 screenings can no longer be used as ballots. If two entries tie after a counting of the votes, one winner will be selected through a public lottery. The winner will be announced on Sunday October 12, 2008 before the concluding film screening of the festival. The winner can collect the prize immediately. If he/she is not present at the venue, the winner will be contacted and a time and location for delivery will be agreed upon. If the winner does not collect the prize within 14 days of the end of the festival, he/she forfeits his prize and loses all rights to claim it at a later date.

General Rules
The Photo Competition will take place from August 15-October 12, 2008.
To compete, entries must be submitted by September 15, 2008.
Results of Round One will be published on the festival website ( by September 25, 2008.
Entrants who are selected to participate in Round Two must supply the Festival with an A3 print of the selected photograph by October 2, 2008.
Round Two of the competition will end at 9pm on October 11, 2008.
The Organizers reserve all rights to change the rules and conditions of the competition pending unforeseen and unpredictable circumstances and from a power beyond their control.
The Prize cannot be demanded and its delivery cannot be pursued through legal means.
By participating the entrant agrees to all rules and regulations of the competition.
The Festival has the right to exhibit all printed photographs received for Round Two. These printed photographs will not be returned. By submitting photographs to the competition, the entrant agrees to these conditions.
Festival organizers and their close relatives cannot participate in the competition.
Competition participants give the Festival permission to publish all provided personal data.
The winner will need to provide proof of identity (identity card, passport) before receiving the prize.
