KABIR BEDI

An actor of international repute, Mr. Bedi lauched his career in India, then moved to Europe and Hollywood.

During his prolific career, Mr. Bedi has acted in over 60 Indian films. In the historical epic "The Taj Mahal", Kabir starred as the Emperor Shah Jahan. Other starring Bolywood roles include Raj Khosla's "Kuchche Dhaage", Rakesh Roshan's "Khoon Bhari Maang".

In Europe, his greatest success was "Sandokan", the saga of a romantic Asian pirate during British colonial times; an Italian-German-French TV series which broke audience records. It was this serial that brought him fame in the Czech Republic where he is, without doubt, the most well known Indian actor.
But Sandokan was only the beginning. Mr. Bedi also pursued a successful career in Hollywood. In the James Bond film, "Octopussy" he played the villain who battled Roger Moore from start to finish. For over a year, Kabir starred in "The Bold And The Beautiful", the second most-watched television show in the world, seen by over a billion people in 149 countries. Kabir also played roles on "Dynasty", "Murder She Wrote", "Magnum P.I.", "Hunter", "Knight Rider" and "Highlander" and others.

Back in Europe, Mr. Bedi moved between theater and films. In London, he starred in £4 million production of M.M. Kaye's "The Far Pavilions", the West End musical adaptation of her novel, at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Mr. Bedi also starred as Michael Caine's companion in "Ashanti; as the flamboyant Prince in "The Thief Of Baghdad"; and as the swashbuckling "Black Pirate" (Il Corsaro Nero), an Italian film.

Currently, Mr Bedi is shooting with Hrithik Roshan ("Kites"), Govinda ("Showman"), and Akshay Kumar ("Blue').

Mr. Bedi recently launched a new film company, Mango Movies Ltd, to produce high quality films for Bollywood and all the international markets. He is based in India, and lives on Juhu Beach in Mumbai.
